The Mencaroni Mission was created in memory of our childhood friend and fellow 15 yr NYPD Police Officer Nicholas Mencaroni of the 115 and 106 Pct who died by suicide.
We wanted people to consider the small things we can all do to help renew the hope and spirits of those within law enforcement who may be silently struggling with mental health issues.
We all struggle occasionally, and we know the same is true for others. It can be hard to know how to reach out and help someone when they’re going through a tough time. Small gestures , have a big impact. Many officers need now more than ever need a bit of hope and reassurance that they are not in this alone.”
We have created initiatives that involve a variety of components: such as workshops, social events, wellness actives, as well as gratitude and appreciation for the hard work people put forth daily.
